Elaine Olga Lyric

Elaine Olga Lyric (Nee) Werbovetski March 22, 1941 - January 30, 2019 Following a lengthy illness, Elaine passed away on January 30th, 2019, with her family by her side. Elaine was born March 22, 1941 in Rossburn, Manitoba to Nettie and William Werbovetski. She spent her early childhood residing in this rural community, along with her six siblings, Ivan, Wayne, Terry, Barry, Milly and Muriel. Her family moved to the city of Winnipeg, where she continued to live throughout her adult years. In 1963, she married Ron Lyric, and they had four daughters, Karen Lyric (Penticton, BC), Christine Lyric (Winnipeg, MB), Cheryl Lyric (Winnipeg, MB) and Marlene Collinson (Peachland, BC). As a family, they enjoyed travelling and spending summers camping outdoors. After 25 years of marriage, Elaine and Ron separated. Elaine was blessed with four grandchildren, Ethan Lyric, Ian Collinson, Cassidy Collinson, and Jovan Hildebrand-Collinson, who brought joy and purpose to her life. She was especially close with her oldest grandson, Ethan, who she loved spending time with. In addition to being a grandmother, she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, cross stitching, and was a big Winnipeg Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Jets fan. A burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main St, MB. “May your soul’s divine light shine bright and bring peace to the hearts of those you loved.”
