Michael Oswald Bagot

Michael “Mikey” Oswald Bagot, 40, was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home on May 25, 2019 after a short stay at Grace Hospital. Mikey was born in Guyana, South America on February 19, 1979. In 1983 at the age of four he moved with his parents and siblings to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he would call home without ever forgetting his roots. In his early years he attended Greenway School, General Wolfe School, Gordon Bell High School and graduated from the Manitoba Institute of Trades & Technology in 2005. In 2011 he married the love of his life; Chhaya Bagot. Together they built a successful life and ran a well-established business. Mikey’s biggest accomplishments were his two sons, Rafaello and Brayden. Mikey was blessed with a large and loving family. He was loving, charming, selfless and generous. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love for music and fashion. He was stylish and handsome with his big bright smile and beautiful long eye lashes. Mikey was a lyricist, poet at heart and a friend to all. He is survived by his wife Chhaya Bagot; sons Rafaello and Brayden; mother and father Khemragi and Samuel Bagot; siblings Phillip (Latchmin), Melinda (Vijay) and Patrick (Nandini). A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, 61 Picardy Place. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
