Joseph McNabb

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, Richard McNabb beloved husband of Vera McNabb, Peepeekisis First Nation died at the age of 70 years. The funeral service will be held in the Pesakastew School Gym, Peepeekisis First Nation on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor William Desnomie officiating. Interment in the Koochicum Family Cemetery. The wake will be held on Friday, June 29 at 4:00 p.m. Richard was predeceased by his mother Mary (McNabb) Keewatin in 2016, his father Joseph McNabb in 1971, one brother George McNabb, his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Florence Bigknife, one brother-in-law Mervin Bigknife, one sister-in-law, Stella Koochicum, two nephews, Bradley and Jordan Koochicum, niece Leila Bigknife and granddaughter Rianna Sapp. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Vera, one daughter Shawna (Skip) Cote, sons: R. Scott (Clareen), Charles and William, adopted son Bert Elloitt, adopted daughter Myra LaFrance, sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother Allan, sister Dianne Dreaver (Edwin), brothers-in-law, Donald (Freda) Koochicum, Mike Koochicum, Lawrence (Anita) Bigknife, sisters-in-law, Hilda Bigknife and Lynda Bigknife and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors on 6F and 5E of the Regina General Hospital and the Fort Qu’Appelle All Nations Healing Hospital, the Lestock Integrated Care Centre and Dr. Conway.
