Charles Francis Klein
June 4, 1955 – May 7, 2019

Charles F. Klein, 63 of Yakima, Washington, died May 7, 2019 at Cottage in the Meadow with his
family at his side. Charles was born June 4, 1955 to Ned and Virginia Klein in Yakima, Washington.
When he was two years old, his family moved to Grandview, Washington.
He graduated from Grandview High School in 1974. He did some boxing while he was in school.
His biggest hobby involved cars and motorcycles. He was a big sports fan (Seahawks and Mariners).
After graduating from high school, he started working at Libby McNeill and Libby in Grandview,
Washington. Several different companies came and went through the frozen food plant throughout his
time working there.
In 1999, he moved to Yakima, Washington where he began working at Columbia Reach. He worked at
Columbia Reach for 15 years.
Charles was preceded in death by his dad, Ignatius (Ned) Klein, maternal grandparents, Jewell and
Nina Briggs, paternal grandparents, Roy and Katherine Klein.
He is survived by his morn, Virginia Klein of Yakima, WA; his sister, Sherri (Jim) Moon of Yakima,
WA; his brother, Robert Klein of Yakima, WA; his brother, James Klein of Kennewick, WA; nephew
Bradley Moon of Seattle, WA and niece Christina (Lindsay Evans) Moon of Seattle, WA and longtime
friend, Rick (Martha) DeLeon of Grandview, WA and several cousins.
A special thank you to North Star Lodge and Virginia Mason Memorial and Cottage in the Meadow
doctors and nursing staff for the wonderful and compassionate care they gave to Charles.
No services have been planned. Family arrangements have been entrusted to Langevin-El Paraso
Funeral Horne in Yakima.
