Venita Ann Murphy

Venita Ann Murphy, 82 of Union Gap, WA, went to meet her Savior on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Venita was born in Riverdale, CA on March 1, 1937 to James and Bessie (Baker) Holcomb. She was raised in the area and graduated from Lemoore High School. In 1967, she married George Murphy and together they raise two children. Venita was a homemaker as well as being active in the Old Town Community Church in Union Gap, and volunteering in their children’s elementary school. She loved to cook delicious meals as well as baking wonderful treats for her family. She loved all animals, but butterflies and birds were her favorite. Venita is lovingly survived by her son Jon Murphy of Union Gap, and her daughter and son-in-law, Kristal and Bradley Vannattan of Union Gap, and three grandchildren, David Murphy of Yakima and Adrianna and Caitlynne Vannattan of Union Gap. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother and sister-in-law Gordon and Patsy Holcomb and her husband. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park. A reception will be held at Kristal and Bradly Vannattan’s home at 4:30 pm.
