David Allan Sander

David Allan Sander, 37, of Ellington, husband of Sarah L. Robbins, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Born in Rockville on August 14, 1983 he was a resident of Tolland for many years prior to living in Ellington the past fourteen years. A truck driver, David was an avid outdoorsman who liked fishing, hunting, and kayaking. He was a talented mechanic, who liked repairing vehicles and helping others with their motor vehicles, and was a big fan of NASCAR, especially Chase Elliott. Dave also enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Sarah, David is survived by three sons, Ryan M. Robbins, Ayden M. Robbins-Sander, Dylan J. Robbins-Sander all of Ellington; a daughter, Alivia G. Robbins-Sander of Ellington; his mother, Barbara Jean (Tischofer) Morales-Lopez of Ellington; and his sister, Patricia Sander of Tolland. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Stacey L. Spears and her significant other, Michael Maughan, of Vernon; his father-in-law, John W. Robbins and his wife, Patti, of Vermont; a brother-in-law, Adam Robbins of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Shelby Dorman of Newington; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Dave was predeceased by his father, Donald Arthur Sander.
