He was born in San Cristobal, Guatemala on January 23, 1967. Luis was married to Martha Chun on September 19, 2006. He was a member of Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana and had a passion for enjoying nature, playing basketball and soccer. Luis loved spending quality time with the family and going to church.
Luis was survived by his children Melissa Chun, Paloma Chun, Wendy Chun, Irene Chun, Brandon Chun, Michael Chun, Brittany Chun; grandchildren Giselle Hernandez, David Hernandez, Danny Hernandez, Brian Hernandez, Estrella Cortez, Crystal Cortez, Aiden Rauda, Gerardo Nava, Genevieve Vidal, Mia Alvarez; brothers and sisters Hector Chun, Mario Chum, Leonel Chum, Aura Chun, Porfirio Chum, Edgar Chun, Roxana Chun and Rocxana Maribel Chun.
A visitation for Luis will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 15, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A procession to family home will occur Friday, October 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Family Home, Sugar Land, TX. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 15, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
