Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Creole.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Santana Laycox and husband Lloyd of Graceville, FL., two grandchildren, Jasmine Faith and Laura Lynn both of Graceville, FL.; three brothers, Byron Broussard and wife Janell of Lake Charles, Frederick Broussard of Creole, and Neal Conner of Creole; four nephews, Jess Broussard, Logan Broussard, Kade Conner, and Tyler Conner; two nieces, Shyron Maddox and Shyla Henderson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his step father Wilson Joseph Conner; and one brother, Lorne Joseph Conner.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Sunday, December 6, 2020 beginning at 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00pm and visitation will resume on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 8:00am until the time of services. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be immediately following at Sweet Lake Grand Lake Cemetery.
The family ask that anyone who plans to attend to please bring any pictures you may have of Mitchell so that they can display them in the funeral home.
