Mr. Wilson graduated from Dreher High School and attended USC. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He retired as president of David Wilson and Associates after a long career of over 40 years in sales, marketing and manufacturing of the menswear industry. He was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lula Blanks Wilson; children, John David “Dave” Wilson, Jr. (Christine) of Lexington, SC, Douglas “Doug” Carlisle Wilson (Jon Bruno) of Los Angeles, CA and Dean Matthew Wilson and fiancé, Julie Lutton of Columbia, SC; two precious grandchildren, Sydney Christina Wilson and Clark Dillard Wilson of Lexington, SC who were so dear to him and affectionately called him “Granddaddy”. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Janet Blanks of Columbia.
