Barbara Sue Hendrix of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, after a period of illness. She was born on February 13, 1943, in Tucker Georgia to Paul and Willie Belle Pitts. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Fendol Hendrix; her brothers, Bobby Pitts and William Jerry Pitts, and her niece, Sherry Pitts.
She was married for more than 40 years to Tom, who always remembered to give her the first Daffodil of the spring. Barbara Sue had a fun-loving spirit and loved dancing, horses, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Known as Barbara Sue, Aunt Susie, and just Barbara, depending on how you knew her, she was an avid tennis player with USTA and ALTA. Some of Aunt Susie’s greatest joys were the close relationships she enjoyed with her nieces and nephews through visits, trips, watching Georgia games, and many other times together, always making each of them feel special.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Westerman and husband Larry; Jeff Pitts and wife Donna Rewalt; Ben Pitts and partner Aleia Daniel; David Pitts; Robin Butler and husband Mark; her great-nephews and nieces, Brennan and Collin Pitts; Jacob Pitts; and Shelby and Savannah Butler. In her final years, she enjoyed a special connection with her caregivers including Madeline, Rosetta, and Mary. For their care and caring, her family is forever grateful.
