Tim Graves

Mr. Graves was born in Malvern, Arkansas on October 2, 1925. He was drafted into the United States Navy during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal after the ship where he was stationed was torpedoed in the Philippines. After WWII, he was honorably discharged from the Navy. He then attended Henderson State College where he met his future wife, Jerine Lawrence. After 2 years at Henderson State and 2 years at the University of the Ozarks, Tim earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of the Ozarks, which later awarded him a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He worked as a pharmacist for 37 years.

Tim had a love of traveling and was proud that he had visited all 50 states and 4 of the continents. He enjoyed decorating his house in White Oak for Christmas and was the 1964 President of the Gladewater Lions Club. Tim was also member of the White Oak United Methodist Church. All that Tim did, he did for his family and the love he had for them.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jerine, parents; Richard and Alma Graves, sister; Velora Gray and brother; Verlon Graves. He is survived by his daughter; Timilee Anderson, grandsons; Tray (Sandra) Anderson, and Dylan (Shellie) Anderson; great grandchildren, Ben, Maddy, Seth, Abby, Lawson, and Caleb. One brother; Jerry (Alvina) Graves, sister-in-law Frances Cathy, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Arbor Grace staff and Chaplin for their love and care for him.

Funeral services for Tim Harlon Graves of White Oak will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10am with visitation on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6-8pm both at Lakeview Memorial Gardens at 5000 W. Harrison Rd in Longview, Texas.

In Lieu of Flowers the Family Requests Donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
