  • Freddie Lee Adams


    Freddie L. Adams, Jr. has been serving families in Tallahassee and the surrounding areas since 2003. Originally from Gadsden County, Fla., he graduated from Chattahoochee High School. He attended Tallahassee Community College and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, earning his associates degree in mortuary science. Whether it’s a traditional funeral or a themed celebration of life, Freddie enjoys being able to help families honor a life well-lived. He joined our team in late-2014 and is honored to be a part of a team of creative and innovative funeral service professionals who make it their priority to honor a family's wishes.

    When he isn’t working, Freddie enjoys watching FSU and FAMU football, singing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife reside in Tallahassee, where they attend the United New Jerusalem Church in Chattahoochee and teach youth Sunday school.

  • Fiona Anne Nicholson

    General ManagerGeneral Manager

    Fiona began her career in funeral services in 1995 in Pompano Beach. She earned an associate's degree in funeral services from the W.L. Philbrick School of Funeral Sciences at Miami-Dade Community College in 1995, a bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 1998 and a master's degree in criminal law from Florida Metropolitan University in 2004.

    Originally from England, Fiona moved to South Florida in 1989. She has lived in Tallahassee since 2014. When she is not working, Fiona enjoys spending time with her daughter, fishing and playing darts.

  • Kelly Marie Coughlin

    Funeral Director

    Kelly is a graduate from SUNY Purchase College with a Bachelor's Degree in Art History in 2010 and is also a graduate of Florida State College at Jacksonville with an Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Directing in 2016.

    Originally from Connecticut, Kelly moved to Florida in 2015 to pursue her mortuary degree and has been with SCI since. She and her husband moved from Jacksonville to Tallahassee in March of 2019.

  • Erin Renee Burchfield

    Funeral Director

    Erin began her career journey during her junior year of high school, when a college preparation aptitude test inspired her to pursue funeral service. Answering what she felt was a call, Erin attended Des Moines Area Community College in Iowa and received her mortuary science degree in August 2016.

    After a yearlong internship, Erin moved to Florida, where she enjoyed the warmer weather. She has served with our team since March 2019.

    When she isn’t working, Erin enjoys spending time with family, watching anime, reading manga, going to the movies, and having game night with friends.

    Funeral Director

    Michelle joined the Serenity Funeral Home family in fall 2016 to carry out her personal goal of applying her expertise in event planning in a professional environment while truly helping others.

    She graduated from Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality and Commonwealth Funeral Institute. As a licensed funeral director, Michelle now uses her breadth of training to design custom funerals and memorials. "Life Well Celebrated gives families the opportunity to honor their loved ones in a personalized way that speaks to what is beautiful about life—individuality! I am honored to help families envision what best represents their loved ones during their time of need."

    Michelle is also a self-proclaimed foodie. She loves to cook and try new restaurants. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the sunset, Netflix binging with her husband, going to concerts, and watching college football. Michelle and her husband are members of the Indian Rocks Baptist Church.
