Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre in Windsor, Ontario, has been helping families with their burial and cremation services for over 55 years. In 1958, Walter Douglas Kelly left Morris Funeral Home, which was then located at the corner of Lincoln and Wyandotte. He purchased the old Little family residence at 1969 Wyandotte Street East, and opened what would become Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre.
Unfortunately, Walter Kelly passed away suddenly in 1962. The funeral home was left to his wife, Miriam. Miriam ran the funeral home together with and Jack Garswood until his retirement. In 1978, Miriam passed away and left the funeral home to her daughter, Barbara Ann. She and her longtime employees, Thomas Holmes and William Rolland, continued to operate the funeral home.
After nearly 2 decades—with her health failing and having no heirs who were capable of operating the business—Barbara sold Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre in 1997.
Walter D. Kelly Live Celebration Centre continues to remodel and update the funeral home, adding more modern amenities for your convenience. These amenities paired with our custom services allow us to better serve the burial and cremation needs of our Windsor Community.
