Billy Mack "Bill" Gray

Billy Mack “Bill” Gray, 84, of Abilene passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday evening at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St.

Bill was born on May 13, 1933 to Mackey and Lillian Gray. He enjoyed working on his farm and playing with his cattle. He was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. He owned Mackey’s Sports and Toy World, and later Mackey’s Baby World. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Rebecca Diane Gray.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Barbara Gray; son, David Gray and wife Jan of Gainesville; daughters, Debbie Dowdy and husband Cliff of Montrose, CO and Kayla Gray of Lubbock; grandchildren, Renee Gray, Connie Goad, Jarrott Dowdy and Bryan Dowdy; and great grandchildren, Aubrey Linkeman, Allison Dowdy, Camden Dowdy, Liam Dowdy and Lily Goad.
