Letha Mauldin

Letha Lee Mauldin, age 88, formerly of Abilene passed away on Tuesday April 24, 2018 in Austin. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial following in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 am at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. in Abilene, Texas.

She was born on July 19, 1929. She was a vocalist, a music teacher, and artist. Our mother was a loving woman who worried about her family and loved the Lord. She had a wonderful joy for life and will be missed by all who knew her.

Letha was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Mauldin; and 2 sons, John Paul and Mark Lynn Mauldin.

Survivors include 2 sons, Dr. Gary Rex Mauldin and wife Cynthia of Chattanooga, TN and Dr. Allen Lee Mauldin and wife Betsy Lee of Cedar Park, TX; daughter, Joy Henderson and husband Scotty of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
