Kathleen Elizabeth Porter, 92, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2012. She was born in Warren, PA on January 3, 1920 to Clarence & Eva Heald. She was a resident of Warren, PA approximately 60 years.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Porter died January 9, 2011. They spent 20 years in Lady Lake, FL. Kathleen loved to golf, paint, garden and quilt. Her greatest joy was being a Mom, Nana and Grandma. She was loved by many and loved others as well.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Joy M. Crow and her husband Dean Crow, of Garner, NC. Sheri Bessette and her husband Frederick Bessette, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and her son G. Richard Myers and his wife Kriss Myers of Warren, PA. She had 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Also one surviving sister, Marion Weaver of Limestone, NY and a number of nieces and nephews including Patricia Johnson of Faith, NC.
Service will be held Monday, Jan 30th at 10:00am, Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 108 Avent Ferry Rd., Holly Springs, NC 27540.
