JONES, MaryLee Sale, of Hanover, Virginia, beloved wife of Ted Jones for 59 years, passed away at home on January 31, 2019. Those that knew her will miss her wit, wisdom, sharing and stories. MaryLee, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, was preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Jones II; and her parents, Ethel and Paul Sale. She is survived by her husband; a son, Paul Jones (Christine) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a daughter, MaryLynn Sergent (Dave) and their children, Jimmy, Nathan, and Rachel, all of Shrewsbury, Pa. MaryLee was a devoted military spouse, mother, Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader as well as a Girl Scout service unit chairman at Ft. Belvoir. She was also a long-time member of Slash Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Visitation will be at Nelsen Funeral Home in Ashland, Virginia, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Slash Christian Church (DoC). Interment will be a family-only service in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Slash Christian Church at 11353 Mt. Hermon Rd., Ashland, Va. 23005.
