Just heard of John's passing. I worked with him for many years at 3M and always enjoyed chatting with him while working on his computer. He was really a great guy. Our condolences to your entire family.

I will truly miss John. I used to tell him he could sell snow to eskimos he was so smooth, and he would just laugh... His smile was contagious..I fondly remember him munching on his popcorn when we had the VSD popcorn machine, and knew when he was consistantly playing golf, by his really REALLY tan face, and not-so-tan forehead..  I will miss him very much..

So sorry to hear about John. We grew up together in our hometown of Hays, KS. As kids in rural America, we spent countless summer days playing baseball, swimming and riding bikes together. Although we did not spend much time together since then due to family activities, jobs and distance, I always felt I could pick up the phone and it would be like it was just yesterday'. I know how much he loved his family. I will miss his warm heart and big smile. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

We are so very sorry for your loss. He will be remembered fondly for all the volunteering he did with the HOA, always in the midst of things, helping out and  welcoming everyone.  I will miss our Hays connection.

John was a consummate "giver" and generous to all. He was a great friend and confidante at Balcones CC. He will be missed by all. His love of life and family were top priorities.

John was truly a joy to be around.

John was a good man - a warm man with a good heart for all.  He cherished his family, his friends, and his colleagues.  And we cherished him.  He will be missed dearly by many.

My heart goes out to Pat and the Dreiling family. John was truly one of the nicest people that I have ever met. He had a profound impact on my life and the many lives he touched. We are all better people today because we were fortunate enough to call John our friend.

I had the honor of serving with John on the BCCMA board at Balcones Country Club.  He was always so calm and rational and would give me that "look" to calm me.  After I left the board he always told me he missed serving with me.   What I will remember the most is his kindness and his love for his family.  We will miss him.   Our prayers go out to the family and his golfing buddies.  Forever in our thoughts, "what would John do?"

Pat and family, John was our "golfing buddy", and an endearing and thoughtful friend.  I so appreciated his kindness and thoughtfulness...a joy to spend 4 hours with talking about golf, sports and his grandfather duties.  No doubt he was taken too soon, but we will honor and cherish his memory, smile and warm handshake.  May our Lord bless you and your family with comfort and peace.

John was so wonderful to work with at 3M - he epitomized what 3M founders wanted the company to be - customer focused and gracious, respectful and friendly encounters with everyone.  So very sorry for your loss.

I always enjoyed working with John while at 3M, he was always willing to attend sales meetings and provide a wealth of knowledge on his product line. So sad to hear of his passing, I will keep John and his family in my prayers.

I will always remember John as one of the nicest people I've ever known. He enjoyed life and was just fun to be around. Some of the most fun times I've had were my early Saturday morning rounds with John at Balcones CC. It didn't take long after getting to know John to understand that he had his priorities straight...faith and family always came first. God Bless John and be with Pat and the family.

John was one of my favorite 3M's ever.  We worked together for over 20 years and I really enjoyed his company and how he lived his life.  John loved his family and talked about the kids and Pat all the time.  It was a pleasure knowing him and I look forward to seeing him in heaven  someday.  Maybe he can help my golf game up there when I arrive.  God Bless.

I always enjoyed sales calls with John. He was a wonderful man. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I truly enjoyed working with John over the years and have so many great memories of being with him for training sessions and sales meetings.  He had the ability to always make everyone in the room smile.  My sincere  condolences to the family.

John was one of the most likable people that I have ever been privileged to meet. I have been honored to serve with John on the BCCMA board of directors and know how dedicated John was to his Family, his grandchildren, and the country club that he loved.  I will miss John and his wonderful attitude and generosity to everyone he met.  God, please take care of our good friend.

John and my father are the kindest men I have ever known. I will miss my friend and golfing buddy. My prayers are with Pat and all those other little Jayhawks that John loved so well. As John would say to me "be nice it will make you feel better big boy."  It did thank you.

John was a good friend to me for 40 years. I will miss our conversations and his posts on Facebook about the grandchildren's basketball games. May God bless John and his family.

I will always remember your love for your family!  How those grandchildren were your joy, your love of golf, sports, the Kansas Jayhawks, your friends and mostly your beautiful wife.  Grant, Gracelyn and I are so sad to not see you again, laugh with you, and cheer us all on....we know that Mike Passi gained a new friend up in heaven....may you watch over each and everyone you touched.  You lived your faith, and your heart was full.
