Betty Thomas Martin

Lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Magnolia Brook Senior living, she was 91. Betty retired from LSU school of Engineering. Survived by numerous family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands Fred K. Martin and Gerald W. Gilbert; parents Leonard and Edith Thomas; brothers Herman Thomas and Arkell Thomas and sister Adele Stubblefield; nephews David Thomas, Arkell Thomas, and Don Thomas; great nephew Bryson "B.J." Caillouet. The family would like to give thanks to the nurses and staff at Magnolia Brook Senior Living, Sunrise Senior living, and Hospice of Baton Rouge for taking such wonderful care of Betty. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory East, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, conducted by Rev. Jay Coleman.
