

Pete, 74, passed away on January 21, 2016 in Baytown, Texas. Pete was born April 10, 1941 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. His family later moved to Skellytown, Texas in 1950. In 1963, Pete enlisted in the army where he served his country as a military police officer. He served his country with pride and was honorably discharged in 1969. After the service Pete moved to Pampa, Texas where he bought his own house. After meeting and falling in love with Jill Hawkins they were married in 1982 and Pete became the father of Michael Moore. Pete opened his own business "RR valve & pump repair" in 1983. Pete supported and conducted many fundraisers for multiple sclerosis at his business in support of his wife, who was diagnosed with MS. Pete was a man who kept his family and friends close to his heart. Pete loved to take his family including his nephews camping to enjoy the outdoors. Pete loved having barbeques and spending time with friends and family. After the oil industry collapsed in 1989, Pete closed his business and moved to Baytown, Texas with his wife and son. Pete then worked for a contractor in the Chevron plant as a pipefitter. In 1997, Pete worked maintenance with Turner at the Carbon Black plant in Baytown, Texas. Pete's friends and some co-workers called him pretty Pete. Due to medical conditions in 2000, Pete had to retire early. Pete still enjoyed going outdoors and spending time with his grand children. Most people remember Pete sitting outside at his picnic table or just sitting in his doorway watching outside. Pete was loved and will be missed by many people.
Pete was preceeded in death by his father Alba McGee and mother Velora McGee of Pampa, Texas. His sister Deana Carter of Pampa, Texas and His son's mother Jill Hawkins Mcgee - Snider of Baytown/Pampa, Texas. Pete is survived by his sister Caroline Payne of Hobbs, New Mexico. His son Michael Moore of Baytown, Texas. His grandson's Michael Moore Jr, Jarod Moore, Carter Moore, and Ethan Moore. His granddaughter's Harley Moore, Alyssa Moore, and Peyton Moore of Baytown, Texas. Plus many nieces and nephews.
