Fabian Marie Fontenot Clubb, age 80, of Vidor, passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Iota, Louisiana on September 27, 1939 to the late Nella Ortego and Austin Fontenot. She devoted her life to caring and serving her family as well as others despite her own physical limitations and illness.
Fabian most enjoyed being a mother and homemaker and all that goes with it. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and as many would agree was great at it. Along with her passion for cooking, she also loved to garden and grow her own vegetables. Fabian was also a meticulous seamstress and enjoyed sewing countless, clothes, quilts, baby blankets, curtains, doll clothes and embroidery pieces for her home and family.
Fabian is survived by: daughter, Constance "Connie" Williamson and her husband Johnny of Vidor; sons Kelvin Todd Clubb of Vidor, Troy Clubb of Vidor, Keith Clubb and his wife Peggy of Beaumont; brother Bertman Fontenot of Beaumont, sisters, Sherrill Lindsey of Houston, Linda Moore of Crystal Beach, and Kathy Welch of Conroe; 11 grandchildren, Cody Clubb, Rene Clubb Lynch, Johnny Williamson, Jr, Jeremy Williamson, Cory Clubb, Kayla Williamson LeBaron, Roya Clubb Ware, Kami Williamson Walker, Kelsie Clubb, Jay Michael Williamson, Jordan Williamson; 26 great grandchildren.
Fabian was preceded in death by her father, Austin Fontenot; mother, Nellie Ortego Fontenot; brother, Lubert Fontenot; daughter: Deborah Faye Clubb; and son, Byron Wesley Clubb.
Fabian will be remembered by her family and loved ones as a loving, hard-working, selfless daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother who freely gave of herself and sacrificed much in their behalf.
A gathering of family and friends for Fabian will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A celebration of Fabian's life will occur Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Ethan Clubb, Cavyn Clubb, Brannon Lynch, Cody Clubb, Jordan Williamson, Jay Williamson, Johnny Williamson Jr., Jeremy Williamson and Cory Clubb.
