Mrs. Delores “Lois” M. Lilly Cawley, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home in Beckley. Born on September 20, 1930 in Mabscott, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alpha P. Lilly and Evelyn D. Allen Lilly.
She was a member of Beckley Regular Baptist Church in which she dearly loved attending her Sunday cchool and Church services. Due to her ill health, she was unable to attend as regular as she would have wanted. She retired from State Farm Insurance after 17 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Mack “Dick” Cawley who passed away on December 16, 1990; her brothers, Russell Lilly of Hicksville, OH, Jack Lilly of Butler, IN, and Dennis R. Lilly of Pickerington, OH.
She is survived by her four sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; her dear friends, Mr. and Mrs. James McBride, her senior companions, Peggy Scheff and Helen Burgess; and her church family.
At the request of Mrs. Cawley, no formal visitation or funeral services will be held. An entombment service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Peace Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Beverly officiating.
