Lovis Mae Owens

Lovis Mae Owens, age 84, of Bradley, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her home. Born on March 26, 1935 in Patterson, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Keen and Julia Horn Keen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Owens; her children, Edward Eugene Owens, Charles Allen Owens, Terry Wayne Owens, Connie Sue Davenport and Jerline Owens; and seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Freda Sisk, Ronnie Lee Owens and wife, Pam, Phyllis Gray and Patricia Neff and husband, Tom; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sisters, Okie Pettrey and husband, Larry and Opal Davis and husband, Leon; her brothers, Roger Keen and wife, Phyllis and James Keen; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Owens retired after 25 years from Ace Whitewater Rafting Company in Oak Hill. She loved going on vacation with her daughters, especially cruises. Mrs. Owens was of Baptist faith.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Roger Keen officiating. Entombment will be held in the Hope Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A catered reception will follow the entombment in the Catered Events Room of Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
