Antonia A Ramirez

Antonia Alimboyoguen Ramirez was born June 15, 1917 in the Philippines to parents Dionisio Alimboyoguen and Nieves Apuya Alimboyoguen. She was raised in Vigan, Ilocos Sur with her siblings: Paula Castillo (sister), Lorenzo Alimboyoguen (brother), Severo Alimboyoguen (brother), Gaspar Alimboyoguen (brother) Rodolfo Alimboyoguen (brother) and Mercedes Presto (sister).

In 1944 Antonia married Florentino Ramirez in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Together they had one daughter, Cresencia Ramirez Veniegas. Over time, her family has grown to include 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Antonia worked as a seamstress for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, baby sitting, sewing and listening to music.

One of Antonias greatest accomplishments was helping her nieces and nephews pay for their education since she did not complete elementary school.

Antonia passed away on March 23, 2014 in San Diego, California of natural causes. She is survived by her daughter, Cresencia Ramirez Veniegas and Cheryl R. Veniegas-Abeleda (granddaughter), Ritchie Veniegas (grandson), Romeo Veniegas Jr (grandson), Cindy Adriano (granddaughter), Elizabeth Abeleda (great-granddaugther), Jasmine Adriano (great-granddaughter), Leila Adriano (great-granddaughter), Joseph Abeleda Jr (great grandson) and riley Veniegas (great-granddaughter).

Her funeral mass will be at St. Charles Catholic Church, in San Diego, California at 2:00 pm on March 29, 2014. She will be laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park immediately following the mass.
