On the 20th day of May, our "Coco's" light stopped shining. The people that knew her will have known about "Dona Nila"; she was a woman who was strong, independent, honest, very neat, happy and was someone who had immense faith in God and the Virgin, to whom she prayed the rosary at night. We will always remember her being well dressed in her colorful, happy blouses, as well as dancing to her favorite polkas, chotices and redobas. "Abuelita", because that is how she liked to be called, worked hard to make sure she provided everything all her 6 children needed, as well as took care of some of her grandchildren. She profoundly loved all of her 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren to whom she passed her love of music. For that reason, instead of crying, let us celebrate her life and let us dance in her memory. Petronila is preceded in death by her husband Tirso Cruz Vega, father Ramon Garcia Garcia and mother Maria de Jesus Dragustinovis de Garcia. Left to cherish her memory is her children Hilda C. (Guillermo+) Tabasco, Tirso G. (Nelda) Cruz, Rosalva (Ernesto+) Zarate, Maria de Jesus (Arnulfo) Rodriguez, Genovevo (Rosa) Cruz and Ovidio (Guadalupe) Cruz, 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, siblings Concepcion Garcia, Antonia Resendez, Rita Dragustinovis, Carmen Cardiel, Ramon Garcia and Rodolfo Garcia+.
