

Robert “Bob” Taylor, 68, of Brunswick passed away Tuesday February 21, 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus. Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday February 25, 2012 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Griffin, Rev. Hinton Johnson and Rev. Richard Kemp officiating. Serving active pallbearers will be Doug Dawson, Randy and Matt Clark, Jason and Russell Altman, and Kevin Prothman. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fort Stewart Fire Department. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Friday February 24, 2012 from 6 pm.-8 pm. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA.
Mr. Taylor was a United States Air Force veteran born May 3, 1943 in Thomaston, GA to the late Harvey Lee Taylor and the late Annie Louise Stewart Taylor. He was a graduate of the Robert E. Lee high school in Thomaston, GA. Mr. Taylor moved to Glynn County in 1969 and had been a fireman most of his career, being employed at FLETC for many years and then working at Fort Stewart until his retirement. He attended the Sterling Church of God of Prophecy where he was also a member of the adult Sunday School Class. He loved reading, hunting and fishing and his family will always remember him as a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years Frances Harris Taylor, his sons, Lewis Dawson (Pam Hicks) of Brunswick, and Charlie Dawson (Holly) of Brantley County, his grandchildren, William Douglas Dawson( Renea), Ashley Dawson(Spencer Allen) , Taylor Dawson, and Heather Dawson and a great grandson, Charles David Allen. He is also survived by four sisters Geneva Shaw, Mary Knight, Linda Nance, and Glenda Taylor and a brother, Bill Taylor
