Thomas Eugene Mallard

Thomas Eugene Mallard, age 76, died Friday, April 3, 2015. Tommy was a native of Wayne County and graduated from Odum High School. He moved to Brunswick and joined the Air National Guard while working full time at Brunswick Pulp and Paper. He made many life-long friends prior to his retirement in 1995. He was an active member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Linda Collins Mallard of Brunswick; a daughter, Pam Mallard Griner of Brunswick; two grandchildren, Kendall and Colby Griner of Brunswick; a sister, Joyce Mallard Oakes of Odum; a brother, Raymond Mallard of Denver, CO; mother-in-law, Viola Collins of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Gibbs officiating. Active pallbearers will be Darell Carver, Jim Deloach, Don Hedick, Preston Kunda, Wayne Melton, Ricky O’Quinn, Clint Purser and Greg Wilkes. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Clements, Floyd Gressel, Roy Henderson, Jennings Overstreet and the Men’s Sunday School Class of Pine Ridge. Burial will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Pine Ridge Baptist Church building fund.
