

Having celebrated her 100th birthday on May 7th, 2012, Virginia Walters Price went to be with her Lord on June 8th, 2012. She is remembered for her unending kindness, her love of family, and her dedication to her husband, D.K. “Buck” Price.
She is survived by her five children: Janet (Al) of Statesboro, Jim (Laurie) of Ponte Vedra, Bob (Ann) of Atlanta, Don (Julie) of Tiger, and Alan (Marlee) of Lake Rabun. She was a grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Fouche of St. Simons. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of seventy years, “Buck” Price, and her brother, Harry Franklin Walters.
The daughter of Ivan and Theresa Walters, she moved to Brunswick from Baltimore, Maryland as a girl. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Brunswick, and following her move to Atlanta in 2002, she worshiped at Glenn Memorial UMC.
Services will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, June 13 at First United Methodist Church of Brunswick with interment to follow in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick. The family will receive friends at the Welcome Center of First United Methodist Church from 12:30 to 2:00.
