June Antonia Spackman, who passed away December 5, 2019, would have turned 93 this coming Spring. This loving tribute is to a truly beloved mother, grandmother, friend, neighbour, a loving friend who lived life at the center of her community. "She was most proud of her family: Sandy, Barry (Gary), Steve (Colleen) and Timothy. She survived her husband Dale who passed away at age 82.
June's motherly role didn’t end with the immediate family. She continued to be a mother figure to her two grandchildren, Sean and Shane, her grandson Matt, and the very special Lori and Glenna who made up her extended family. To all relatives she was known affectionately as “Auntie June”.
We express our love and appreciation for her in her passing with the kind of sentiments every mother hopes to hear and deserves:
"Mom, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always, always paving the way for us. We will work hard in your absence to honor your spirit of life, to raise ourselves up and live the life you demonstrated each day. Farewell. You were, are, and always will be remembered with loving fondness.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in June’s memory directly to the Alberta SPCA, (https://www.albertaspca.org/).
