Maxine May (Goldman) Poster of Randolph, previously of Mattapan, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 92 years of age. Daughter of the late Gertrude (Silver) and William Goldman. Loving partner of Jerry Beale of 30 years. Beloved mother of Mark Snyder and his wife Pamela of Plymouth; and Wendy Niesen and her husband Mike of Stoughton. Cherished grandmother of Darah Niesen, Amie Niesen, Daniel Snyder, Michael Niesen, and Leesa Snyder (and her husband Neil). Great-grandmother of Jaianna Irish, Logan Graziano, and Beau Brandwein. Sister of the late Mickey Goldman and Rosalie Goldman.
Maxine was a friend to many. She told jokes that went viral on social media. She sewed her children's clothes when they were young, including her daughter’s prom gown and cowboy shirt for her son. She loved music, particularly Frank Sinatra and Perry Como. She played Mahjong with her friends in the neighborhood for many years. She and her late husband Daniel, were co-founders of Temple Beth Am in Randolph. Maxine was an avid Red Sox fan, and had front row seats for over 40 years. She also loved dogs, including her best puppy, Hershey, who lived for almost 15 years.
Maxine attended Boston University, until she gave birth to her son, then she became a homemaker. She kept her hand in writing, winning an award for her poem on JFK, and being handed her prize by Jerry Lewis!
She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was active in their lives. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother than anyone could have had.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11 AM, at Lindwood Memorial Park, 490 North Street, Randolph.
Shiva will be held on Tuesday following the burial at Maxine’s late residence from 2-8 PM, and continuing on Wednesday, at the home of Mark and Pamela Snyder from 5-8 PM.
