Paul Byron Prentis

Paul was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 18, 1947 to John and Christine Prentis. He grew up in Grosse Pointe Park and later moved to Stuttgart Germany for his high school years. While in Germany, he helped build a band; these classmates and many others became life-long friends.

He graduated from Wayne State University Pharmacy School and went on to own Patient Prescription Center Pharmacy in the Detroit Medical Center, later opening another pharmacy, ETELRX, in Eastpointe.

Paul enjoyed being part of several pharmacy organizations and car clubs; loved his cars, electric bass guitar, playing poker, and being with his high school friends from Germany. But more than anything, Paul loved his family and was always there for them.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Susan and his children, Eric and Paul Jr. (Melissa). Paul will also be fondly remembered by his 3 grandchildren, Ava, Katelyn and William, by his sister Constance, and nephews David Woodburn, David Williams, and Michael Williams, along with many dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd Chandler, Arizona 85248 on Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Mausoleum Chapel from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church 2716 N Dobson Rd Chandler, Arizona 85224 on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00am. Immediately following the Funeral Mass, Paul will be laid to rest at Valley of the Sun Cemetery.

A Reception will follow the interment services at Sun Lakes Chapel Center at 9240 E Sun Lakes Blvd N Sun Lakes, Arizona 85248.
