On June 10, 2025, God called Priscilla H. Wallace home to His eternal Kingdom. She passed away peacefully at The Hospice of the Western Reserve, surrounded by the love of her family.
Priscilla was born on May 21, 1943, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Thomas G. Hairston and Pauline Gibson. She was raised in Martinsville and made history as one of the first black students to integrate Albert Harris High School in 1961. Her passion for learning and music led her to graduate from Virginia State College, where she pursued her love of education and the arts.

School system as a beloved music teacher, inspiring generations of middle and high school students. A gifted musician, she had a deep love for singing and playing the piano. She was a familiar face at local
talent shows as a judge, and her voice graced prestigious venues such as Severance Hall.
A devoted member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Priscilla served faithfully in the Senior Choir and as director of the Youth Bell Choir. Her commitment to her faith, community, and the arts touched the lives of
many.
Beyond her musical talents, Priscilla enjoyed playing bingo with friends and sharing her joy of cooking with family. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her sister Doris Horton, brother Thomas Hairston Jr., and brother-in-law Golden Thomas.
