Gayle Kathleen Cowan, born on October 16, 1942, in Fresno, California, entered into rest on August 1, 2025, at the age of 82. A resident of Fresno, California, Gayle was known for being hard-working and honest.
Throughout her career, Gayle made significant contributions as a comptroller in the optometry industry. Her dedication and integrity were evident in every aspect of her professional life.
Gayle is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Craig Alan Cowan of San Luis Obispo, California, and Shannon Keith Cowan (Micki) of Clovis, California; her daughter, Debbie Larson; and her sister, Sharon Hills. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Cole Bradley, Shane Clary, Malahni Cowan, Malaya Cowan, Kyler Cowan, Sophe Larson-Hernandez, and Isaac Larson, as well as her great-grandchild, Everest Clary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell Waite and Viola Irene (Rieck) Waite, and her sister, Kathy May.
Gayle's legacy of hard work and honesty will continue to inspire those who knew her.
