Gary Allen Waite, age 52, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away on Monday March 5, 2018. Gary was born August 3, 1965 in Columbus, GA to Dorothy Waite and Marvin Waite. He served his country proudly in the US Army before returning home, and was employed by Bank-Tec of Columbus as a Mail Clerk. Gary loved animals and had many pets. He loved his family and enjoyed helping them as much as he could. He was a good husband and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his Wife, Alexandra Waite; Father Marvin Waite and Mother Dorothy Wait; other family members, and many, many friends.
The family will welcome guests for visitation in The Mill Room, Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon RD, Columbus, GA 31907. A Life Remembrance Service in Edgewood Hall will occur Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM, 4071 Macon RD, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by a Committal Service at 3:00 PM in Evergreen Memorial Park, 4500 St. Mary's Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. Reverend Keith Troumbo will officiate.
