Calvin Wilson

Calvin passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). He was born September 12, 1956 in Abbeville, Mississippi.

Calvin was baptized at Springfield Baptist Church in Abbeville, Mississippi and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his mother and father, Lizzie L. (Wilson) and Curtis Avent, Sr. of Cleveland; children, Denae Shanks of Chicago, Illinois, Corey Barrett of Gary, Indiana, Crystal Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Davina Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee, Bregetta Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Lashawanda Nicole Wilson; nine grandchildren; brother, Curtis Avent, Jr. of Cleveland; aunts, Hattie Logan of Newark and Rannie Nully of Memphis, Tennessee; uncles, T.C. Wilson of Abbeville, Mississippi, Curtis Lee (Lily) Wilson and Pastor James (Lois) Wilson, all of Memphis, Tennessee; special cousins, Kelly Logan, George Avent and Lela Avent; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
