Services to Celebrate the Life of David "Byrd" Baswell are set for 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Mission of Hope in Glen, MS with Bro. James Voyles and Bro. Travis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Hicks Cemetery.
David died at his residence on Saturday, August 9th. He was born on January 6, 1957 to the late Jessie Thomas and Mandy Syble Jones Baswell in Booneville. David was a friend to everybody and he never met a stranger. No matter where he went, no matter what kind of day he was having, he always had a smile on his face. If you knew David, you were a blessed person!
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lloyd and Thomas Oscar Baswell and Bonnie Faye Baswell.
Survivors include three brothers, Raymond Baswell, Donald "Dump" Baswell and wife Debbie, and Stevie Baswell; two sisters, Linda "Suzzie"Choate and husband Bobby and Mandy Bullock and husband Larry; a special caretaker, Amanda Hicks, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the church.
