Edward Simpson, Jr. of Croton on Hudson, NY formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 98. Edward was born to Edward and Clara Josephine (Tuerke) Simpson on June 11, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. He married the love of his life, Mildred Pacifico, on April 3, 1947. Edward was a long time parishioner at the Flatbush Tompkins Congregational Church of Brooklyn, NY.
Edward is survived by his wife of 68 years Mildred, beloved children Patricia Leake (Nolan), Janet Young (Philip), and Glenn Simpson (Cathy Le Blanc), cherished grandchildren Pace Parsons (Miguel), E. Nolan Leake (Tennille Christiansen), Spencer and Trevor Young, and Jylls and Nate Le Blanc-Simpson, and by one great grandchild Nola Parsons.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24th at 10AM, Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, Croton on Hudson with burial to follow at Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
