

To close friends and family, Rodolfo was lovingly known as Popo. He married the love of his life, Timotea in 1963 and had three children, Juanita, Rodolfo, and Liliana. Popo and his family moved to Dallas in 1979 and has stayed ever since. During his time in Dallas, Popo worked in the Restaurant industry, all across the area including different restaurants and country clubs, one of the most notable ones being The Reunion Tower. In his free time, Popo enjoyed working on his car and finding old broken-down electronic devices and fixing them up to use around the house. Popo was a family man through and through. He enjoyed spending time with his family which included telling stories to his grandchildren of his time growing up and different journeys of his life.
Popo is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Timotea; his parents, Roberto Martinez Gonzalez and Socorro Ardisson Contreras; and his brother Antonio Martinez
He is survived by his three children, Juanita Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez, and Liliana Martinez; his grandchildren, Oscar Vasquez, Elizde Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez, Edgar Martinez, Veronica Rubio, Gabriela Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Johnny Rubio, and Daniel Rubio, along with twelve great-grandchildren; his sister, Norma Martinez, Maria Del Pilar Martinez; and his brother, Ignacio Martinez
