David Harold Roll

11/24/34 – 2/17/20

Born in Trenton, Nebraska to Don & Bonnie (Kelley) Roll. Moved to Leadville, Colorado when he was 7 years old and grew up there. He was next to oldest of 8 children. 4 boys & 4 girls. Graduated from Leadville High School. Joined the Air Force and was in the 573rd Air Force Band for 4 years. Attended Colorado University earning a degree in Business and Accounting. Received his CPA license and worked for Haskins & Sells CPA Firm for 4 years. Went to work for Cummins Colorado (now Cummins Rocky Mountain) as controller and Chief Financial Officer for 37 years. Retired in 2000 and became very active in civil and religious affiliations.

Married Marilyn Eleanor Howard and fathered a daughter Karen and son Scott. Survived by his wife of 66 years, daughter Karen (Darrell) Radke of Newton Kansas and daughter-in-law Jamie Roll of Denver. Grandchildren, Bethany Gormley, Sarah (Joseph) Martin, Sasha, Joseph and Xavier Roll. Five great grandchildren, Gabriel and Elaina Martin, Tristan and Emily Gormley and Cayden Roll. Brothers Robert and Timothy, Sisters Donna, Susan, Kathy and Beth. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas and son Scott.

Memorial service on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Inurnment in Holy Cross Memorial Garden to follow
