Mrs. Barbara Parker Evans, age 79, of Dunn died Sunday Morning, April 16, 2017 at Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab in Dunn. Mrs. Evans was born in Cumberland County on June 16, 1937 the daughter of the late Laster Claudis Parker & Macie Thelma Autry Parker and is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert James (Cricket) Evans, Jr; a son, Donald Craig Evans; a sister, Mary Parker and brother Williams Parker. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Hall, Rev. C. H. Lee & Steven Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park. She is survived by: Her Daughters: Diana Evans Ball & (husband) Wayne of Stateville, NC and Lesia Evans Campbell & (husband) Steven of Benson, NC. A Son: James David (Butch) Evans & (wife) Dwanda of Nashville, TN. Sisters: Judith Hudson of Garner, NC; Marjorie Holloway & (husband) David of Dunn, NC; Muriel Kelly & (husband) Don of Las Vegas, NV. Brothers: Neil Parker of Flat Rock, Al.; Ray Parker & (wife) Jane of Godwin, NC. 9 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren.
