Robert J. Lockery, 66, of Manchester, CT passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. He was born in Hartford, CT to Kenneth A. and Helen (Rifenburgh) Lockery on September 14, 1953.
Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister Susan and his aunt Janet.
He is survived by a brother William; a sister and brother in law Sally and Alan; nephews William Jr., Robert, and Daniel; nieces and their husbands Elizabeth and Andrew, and Rebecca and Christopher; a great niece Brooklyn; an uncle John and a very special fur friend “Miss Kitty”.
Robert lived the majority of his life in the Manchester/East Hartford area. He held various jobs throughout his working years.
A graveside service with burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I love you & thought of you as a family member.
It's hard for me to picture not having you to talk to & turn too I've always kind of relied on your input & guidance we chatted everyday & now I'll have to go on without until I see you again in the afterlife/heaven please watch over all your loved ones down here & comfort us through the coming sadness times without you.
know I'll be thinking about you knowing that you're with Doug and Pikachu waiting to greet me when it's my time to meet God

To Sally, Bill and your families; I am sorry for your loss. Though I hadn't seen Bob in recent years, I did spend a lot of time with him years ago when he was the best man at mine and Kevin's wedding as well as godfather to my daughter Kelly. I didn't always agree with him, but he was a passionate man and I gave him credit for that. May he rest in peace.
