Lois W Wells

Lois Wanda (Wakeland) Wells, at the age of 91 went to be with the Lord on April 28th, 2014 in El Paso, Texas. Born in Stillwater, MN to William and Emma Wakeland, Lois was raised in St. Paul. An active, life-long Lutheran she was confirmed at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the youth choir and a Sunday School Teacher there. She moved to Florida as a young adult and where she met her future husband. Lois married Rosoe L. Wells on November 6, 1953 in Coral Gables, Florida. Their union was blessed with two sons. Lois was a homemaker, volunteer book keeper and active in the Altar Guild and Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League at her church. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Emma Wakeland, her husband Rosoe L. Wells and her brother Donald Wakeland. She is survived by her sister Joyce Boyd of Cedar Rapids, IA; her sons and their families, Jerry and Laura Wells with their children Sarah and Stephen of El Paso, Texas and Kenneth and Melanie Wells of Sebring, Florida with their children Samantha and Matthew of Boca Raton, Florida; as well as several niece and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in El Paso, Texas. Lois will be buried at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
