He worked at May Homes as a truck driver, Arkla, Inc, Marathon Gas Station, State Hospital in maintenance, worked on lawn mowers at Hahn’s and worked in maintenance at the Evansville Protestant Home. Bill served in the Army, driving vehicles. He loved playing cards, doing lawn work, talking to neighbors and had been a volunteer firefighter.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer Rogers (2012); sisters, Lily Bunch (William) in 1999 and Lucille Davis (Don) in 2009.
He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Rogers (Curtis Kaiser) of Evansville; cousin, Janet Rogers of IL; cousin Bill Rogers of IL; cousin David Rogers of Lexington, KY; cousin Edna Barker (Eddie) of Evansville; Mary Hines of Chandler, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Alexander East Chapel handled his funeral arrangements.
