Dear Nancy and Family,

I received the notice of Byron's death today from my sister who mailed it to me. It has been over fifty years since we have seen each other and I am so very sorry that it has taken Byron's death to reconnect us. Please know how sad I am to hear this news. So many memories of childhood and the teens years revlove around our shared friendship. All of my memories of those years are of good times and laughter. Little did we know how our lives would unfold. Know that I have you all in my thoughts, heart and consciousness at this time of loss and grief. Nancy, I send you my sincere love. Kelsey

Bryon was our neighbor in Plantation Oaks, Flagler Beach, FL.
Only met him a few times, but he always talked about his
family – his wife (Nancy), kids and grandkids. He was very proud
of them and always talked about what they were doing.
He was a very mentally strong person even with his medical
condition – always positive and a great sense of humor. We talked
a lot about his life and jobs that he had (especially at the Post Office).
We had a couple of beers (Yuengling of course).
Good guy. I liked him !!

Our sincere condolences to Nancy and your family
upon the passing of Bryon.

Your neighbor,
Paul A. Cutright

Seeing Byron's obit this morning was truly sad. I had heard he was sick but had no idea how bad he apparently was. I worked with him at SCSO for almost 20 years and can honestly say he had a great sense of humor and was one of the most ethical and considerate people I ever knew. He didn't just advise his subordinates how to be professional, he demonstarted it...everyday. He made a very positive impact on his co-workers and friends. We were very fortunate to have him among us, and I was absolutely privileged to know him personally.

May the memories of brighter days shine through these dark hours and may his convictions give comfort in knowing he is at eternal rest. He will be missed.
