Shirley J. Ohse, 86 passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born July 8, 1935 in Winnebago, IL to the late Niels P. and Vivian I. Jensen. She graduated from Reading High School in 1953 of Reading, MI. Shirley moved to Fort Wayne in 1953 and married Gerald L. Ohse April 16, 1955. Shirley worked for the Department of Corrections of Indiana in the Parole Office for 38 years and after retirement, worked part time at Target for 10 years. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge #261.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Brigetti M. Michael of Columbus, GA; Robin G. (Brad) Lewis of Huntington, IN; grandchildren, Cynthia Shepherd of Monroeville, IN; Sean Lewis of Noblesville, IN; Cordell Lewis of Lafayette, IN; and a great granddaughter Kaela Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Gerald Ohse.
Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Tuesday July 20, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also Monday July 19, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
