John R. Sinnes

John was born in Wild Horse, CO in 1923 to the late John and Eunice Sinnes. John married Ruth in Geneseo, IL in 1947 and then moved back to Colorado in 1951.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 66 years, Ruth and three children: Sheryl(Steve), Terry(Daryl) and Bonnie. John is survived by his brother Jay, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

John served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was a member of the Plumbers Union Local 58 for 60 years. He retired from Olson Plumbing and Heating. He was an active community member serving as a charter member of Security Volunteer Fire Department (over 20 years), a board member (30 years), a board member of Security Water and Sanitation District (32 years), a member of the Masonic Lodge 104, and of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

John loved his Family, his Church and his community. He and Ruth shared their home, their Bird Park and cabin with everyone.

The funeral will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Security Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Fund or Legacy Hospice.
