Tyson Wayne Kemplin of Miamisburg, Ohio and formerly of Springboro, Ohio was born to Thomas Kemplin and Charlotte Jones on July 27, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio and died peacefully surrounded by family at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on September 18, 2020 at the age of 58. He was a loving son to his “Ma”, Charlotte Jones (step-dad Wilmer Jones); protective brother to Tonya Barnett (and her husband Dale Barnett) of Springboro, Ohio, Shane Kemplin (and his fiancée Tina) of Mesa, Arizona; , Victoria Vanderpool ( and her husband Steven) of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; and Thomas Kemplin Jr. of Frederick, Maryland. He was the caring uncle of Tiffani Minor (and husband Brian) of Middletown, Ohio, Danielle Bieller of Springboro, Ohio, Christopher Kemplin of Springboro, Ohio, Cody Beculheimer of Mesa, Arizona, Jacob Beculheimer of Franklin, Ohio, and Jeffrey Jones of Miamisburg, Ohio. Tyson was a fun and playful gruncle to his great-nephews Lincoln Minor, Hudson Minor and Malakai Bieller and beloved gruncle to Ashton, Paisley, Kennedy and Brantley.
Tyson was a 1980 graduate of Springboro High School. In 1981, he was honorably discharged from the US army. Tyson then attended Tri-State Truck Driving School in Middletown, Ohio and has worked as an Owner Operator for the trucking industry for 40 years. Tyson loved the open road, and received several safety awards while travelling across the United States. He was known by his fellow truckers as “Lonewolf”. He was not only a fan of trucking, but was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Tyson has always been protective of his family. He became a hero to Tonya as he hurdled a fence to save her from a nest of yellow jacket bees. He became a lifesaver to Shane as he rescued him from drowning. Tyson played golf but ended his career immediately after having a “hole in one”. He quickly realized and tried to convince Dad, why bother, “he couldn’t top that”. His life’s mission was “to take care of his Mom”, and he proved his adoration for her on a regular basis. Multiple daily calls proved his love for her, “Hey Ma, it’s me, pick up the phone… Ma.” Tyson shared everything with Mom, knowing she was his number one fan, but did everything to let her know that he was hers as well. Tyson, “We’ll love you forever, We’ll like you for always, as long as we’re living our baby, brother and uncle you’ll be.”
Tyson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during his medical crisis, when God ordained the visitation of a precious chaplain to share the love of Christ and to pray with him. Tyson went to Heaven on September 18, 2020. On that day, he traded “18 wheelin” and open road for walkin with Jesus on the streets of gold! I’m sure, if he would say anything to us now, it’d be, “What a day!”
