He leaves behind his wife, Judy Dittore; their daughters, Diana Dittore and Cheryl Sember; and their son, Brian Dittore.
Nick was born on April 2, 1939 to father Nick Dittore Sr. and mother Alba Dittore, who preceded him in death. Nick was a former Marine, where he served his country proudly in Europe until his honorable discharge in 1960. He then moved back to the states where he married Judy Harrison on November 25, 1961.
Nick and Judy moved to Northern Virginia after marrying where Nick started his career at IBM. They then moved to Central Virginia where they lived and raised their children. After 30 years Nick retired from IBM and later moved to Spotsylvania. They were married for 59 years.
Nick was a man of courage, honor and integrity. He was an avid fisherman and loved surf fishing in the Outer Banks. He could often be found on the weekends watching NASCAR or the Pittsburgh Steeler games. He was a skilled craftsman and spent many hours in his workshop building furniture for his family; there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t do.
He always put his family first and is survived by his wife, three children and 3 granddaughters – Anna Dittore, Molly & Caitlin Sember as well as his daughter-in-law, Karen Dittore; son-in-law, Tom Sember; and future son-in-law, Tim Scholl.
