
James Irvin White, 86, passed away March 9, 2009 at the Windsor Health Care Center.James was born February 2, 1923 in Union, Iowa to Annie Laura (McCracken) and Levi Wellington White. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served during World War II as a flight trainer. In 1945, James was united in marriage to Helen Burnet. They moved to Framingham, Massachusetts where he was the Vice President of Operations and Personnel for Jordan Marsh, was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, Massachusetts and a member of the Elks Lodge. They lived for a time in Florida, where they were members of the First Baptist Church of Bradenton and James served as a Deacon.James is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen; sons, Barry James White of Hudson, MA, William Edward (Donna Lee) White of Upton, MA; daughter, Sue Leah (Ray) Morgan of Loveland, CO; brother, Lee White of Jefferson, MO; grandchildren, Angel, James, Robert, Ashley, Nicole; and three great grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Kadin, and a special friend Pat Morgan of Ann Arbor, MI.He was preceded in death by brothers George and Arthur White and his son Robert Alan White in 1952. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. Father James Paul will officiate.Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S.
