Betty was married to her husband, Roy on August 18, 1951. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Betty had a passion for quilting, making “Mug Rugs” but especially giving hugs. She was always ready to play a game or cards with her family and friends. Her biggest passion was clowning. She spent many hours volunteering at St. David’s, where she was known as “Betsy Hugs”. Her smiles, comfort, stories and hugs cheered up many children, adults and staff.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy, a daughter Sharry and a grandson Eric. Betty is survived by children Clyde Tofte (Anita), Becky Jordan (Mickey) and Louanne Schuknecht (Johnny); grandchildren, Hilary, Andrew, Cassie, Kristine, Michael, Craig and great children, Alexandria, Amelia, Samantha, Abigail, Mike, Sophia, Eden and Joy.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Betty’s life will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown, Texas with Pastor Walt Pohland officiating.
